Hong Kong BTC ETF
Regulators in Hong Kong are expected to give the green light to the first batch of applications for spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) next week. This move could pave the way for these ETFs to be available for trading as early as April. Hong Kong and Australia might lead the way as the first Asian jurisdictions to offer spot bitcoin ETFs, while Singapore and the UAE seem to be less urgent in their approach for now.

On April 4th, the ParaSwap Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) put forth a motion suggesting the use of treasury funds to reimburse users impacted by recent events. The proposal garnered significant backing, with more than 96.8% of voters endorsing the compensation plan during the three-day voting window.
The ParaSwap AugustusV6 contract, which was deployed on March 18th, was designed to enhance cryptocurrency swaps and cut down on transaction costs. Unfortunately, a crucial flaw in the code permitted hackers to manipulate user approvals for the upgrade, leading to the loss of around $864,000 in assets.

Swirlds Releases HashioDAO
Swirlds Labs, the team behind Hedera network development, has introduced HashioDAO, an open-source interface designed to simplify the creation and management of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) on Hedera. HashioDAO aims to streamline the formation, governance, and operation of DAOs, addressing the demand for transparent decision-making tools within diverse communities.
It tackles the technical and financial complexities often associated with establishing DAOs by providing a user-friendly web app interface. Leveraging Hedera’s robust technology, HashioDAO enables users to launch and manage DAOs without requiring extensive technical expertise. Swirlds Labs offers the HashioDAO code on Github for accessibility and plans to provide a free, community-hosted version to support adoption.
